We at Byline Construction take pride in our work and as you can see from the pictures in this album, these were taken at a recently completed projects at Euston Road where we carried out various repairs to the slate roofs and completely removed and recovered a flat roof whilst the office below carried on with its normal daily business.

Another part of the contract was to completely redecorate the office area as pictured in the album.

Here are a few finished pictures taken from a recent stripout & refurbishment of 2nd & 3rd Floor offices at Chiswick High Road, the work comprised of complete stripout of tenants fixtures & fittings and refurbishment of both floors including new lighting, new suspended ceilings, full redecoration, new carpet tiles and left ready for new incoming tenant.

The project involved total demolition of 3 storey mid terraced mews property and installation of support shores to adjoining properties to prevent movement of the buildings whilst the ground level was reduced by 4m to introduce a basement to the new property being constructed.

The building is located within the grade II listed building known as The Royal Exchange which is in the very heart of London’s financial banking district. Our hands on approach worked on this project as the landlords the City of London Corporation have very strict guidelines to follow as the building has a grade II listing internally as well as externally.

The project involved complete strip out of the previous tenants fixtures & fittings, removal of the mezzanine floor at 1st floor level and removal of the existing electrical installation. The shop was completely fitted out & opened within 2 weeks of commencing works on site.

The refurbishment comprised of the following works:

Electrical Re-wire - Dry Linning of Walls & Ceilings - Plastering - Internal & External Decoration - New Flooring - Manufacture & Installation of Internal Fittings

Contract Value £ 35K

The project involved demolition of the buildings and other portakabins & school keepers lodge and securing the site on completion. As the site is in very close proximity to the remaining school buildings, forward planning and communicating with the local and school authorities proved that our hands on approach really does work with one of the company’s directors onsite at all times during the demolition process.

We are currently undertaking several works packages at Whipps Cross Hospital these include removal the steel framed canopy adjacent to the laundry room, formation of new footpaths along hospital road, formation of disabled parking bays outside the chest clinic & outpatients department.

We currently provide a full building maintenance service for the Property Services & Social Services departments including a 24hr emergency callout, the work varies from changing locks & boarding up vacant commercial units to unblocking drains / gutters, electrical & mechanical works, painting & decorating, carpentry, roofing, erecting to let signs.

Contract Value From £100 - £ 35K

The pictures here are taken from a recently installed 2 layer felt system to a leaking roof above a council office in hackney, all works were undertaken with the minimum of disruption to the offices below.

Hackney Town Hall Assembly Rooms Entrance Canopy

We are currently carrying out careful removal of the canopy above the entrance to the assembly rooms at Hackney Town Hall, and in the process of liaising with conservation architects & the English Heritage as the building is grade II listed, to reconstruct the canopy to its former glory within their strict guidelines.

Here are a few pictures taken after completion of the canopy to its former glory, the canopy was stripped back to its steel framework and completely re-built adhering to the complicated specification compiled by the Conservation Architects and the English Heritage, including new fibrous plaster moulded Soffit.

Unfortunately the existing stonework was not cleaned as part of this contract.
